Philosophy:
BRM and ERM are proven management concepts that involve team members, assets and procedures, to ensure an improved safety and efficiency of shipboard operations.
BRM/ERM was inspired by CRM which has been a benchmark standard in aviation for decades.
CRM on board of (cruise)ships is the combined application of BRM -and ERM procedures into one seamless system which is understood and applied by both the Technical -and Deck Department.
The key element of successful use of CRM is the commitment of Senior Executive Leadership on board to support this philosophy and to develop the correct environment -and culture for it to be implemented.
